Flapjacks
What you need
1 small block of butter (200g)
2 mugs of porridge oats
4 tablespoons of brown sugar
Baking paper
Equipment
Large bowl
Mug
Knife & Fork
Small Baking Tray
Saucepan
Potato Masher (optional)
Method
Preheat the oven to 190°C, fan oven 170°C, gas mark 5.
Melt the butter slowly in the saucepan making sure it doesn’t boil.
Put the oats and sugar in a bowl and carefully pour in the melted butter and mix well.
Line the baking tray with baking paper.
Pour the mixture into the baking tray and mash down well with a fork or a potato masher.
Bake the flapjacks in the oven for 30 minutes.
Leave the flapjacks to cool in the oven for another 30 minutes.
Cut the flapjacks into 12 squares and carefully remove from the baking paper.
These delicious flapjacks can be stored in a tin for up to a week.
