Two Minute Muffins

What you need

  • 1 mug of self-raising flour

  • ½ mug of castor sugar

  • 1 egg

  • ½ mug of vegetable oil

  • ½ mug of milk

  • 10/12 muffin cases

  • ½ mug of icing sugar, sweets and sprinkles

Equipment

  • Large bowl

  • Mug

  • Wooden spoon

  • Fork

  • 2 teaspoons

  • Baking tray or Muffin tray

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C, fan oven 180°C, gas mark 6

  2. Put the flour and sugar in a large bowl and mix with the wooden spoon.

  3. Break the egg into a mug and beat with a fork. Add the egg to the large bowl.

  4. Pour the oil and milk into the mug and mix with the fork.

  5. Add the milk and oil to the large bowl.

  6. Mix all the ingredients in the bowl with a wooden spoon.

  7. Spoon the mixture into the muffin cases using two teaspoons.

  8. Bake in the oven for 15/20 minutes.

  9. If you are decorating the muffins mix half a mug of icing sugar with 2 tablespoons of water. Spread the icing over the buns and decorate with sweets and sprinkles.

ToP TiP

Add 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips to the cake mixture in the bowl to make chocolate chip muffins or 2 tablespoons of blueberries for blueberry muffins.
